Job Description Shell Oil Company is currently seeking a Exploration Geoscientist, for its Houston, Texas location.
In this position, you will be responsible for;
Subsurface interpretation using 3D seismic and well data to generate geological and predictive models for Deepwater sedimentary basins for the assessment of hydrocarbon potential and prospect evaluation.
Maximize value of assets in both operated and non-operated exploration and appraisal opportunities.
Mature prospects and evaluate suitable well locations.
Responsible for the data acquisition and sampling program recommendations.
Lead and participate in internal exploration opportunity realization reviews; value assurance reviews for decision executives, and well delivery plan meetings.
Attend external engagements and technical committee meetings with partners.
Plan and monitor all deep water well activities to ensure all are conducted in accordance with Shell and Industry safety standards.
Ensure integration with other disciplines.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must possess a Doctorate degree (or foreign equivalent) in Geology (or a closely related field)
Plus two (2) years of experience with regional structural geology and subsurface evaluation, including experience with building regional geological framework, structural interpretation, restorations and prospect identification using 2D seismic data.
